A Brilliant Liberty Mutual Insurance Television Commercial!

FINALLY. A television commercial that made me want to watch it again:

  • The visual metaphor of “peeling away” the old car to a new car
  • Explains the benefits of having the option of “new car replacement” on your policy, which….
  • Shows how it will make your life better
All three things instantly caught my attention the first time I saw it.

But what really lured me to think about switching my current auto insurance is through what I call the “Alternate Advertising Angle”.

Assuming you don’t currently have Liberty Mutual Auto Insurance, did the benefits listed in the commercial make you think about switching just to have this option on your policy? It did for me.

No matter what company insures your auto right now, do you have this current option? Do you know if it’s even offered by your current auto insurer?

This advertisement triggers the psychological angle very effectively.

Remember, a good commercial must get you to do two things in this order:

  • React
  • Act
A tip of my cap to Liberty Mutual. Expect a call from me in the very near future.
